Wow. I guess I need to update. The past month or so has been pretty busy, but not in an exciting way. Finishing up another quarter of school and realizing that I only have 2 more quarters left. Yikes! Thesis starts this coming quarter. But I do have two weeks off to get my house and the rest of my life in order before I start the insanity of my thesis. Am I ready for it? Sort of. If I think too much about it, I freak out, I don't think I'm ready, and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of work. However, once my rational side kicks in, I know I'll be fine, that I have enough skills in my arsenal to work with and if there are skills that I lack I will be taught or at least directed on how to attain (or sharpen) them.
Other than being almost done with school, the biggest thing has been discussing moving. We're definitely leaning towards (or at least I'm pushing towards) Columbus, OH in the summer of 2011. We need some time to save up so we don't move the way we did before (when we almost killed eachother in the process) and I want to do some internship work when I finish school to build some practical experience in the field for my resume before I start job hunting out there. Plus, for a lot of reasons, I'm just not ready to leave yet. I really love it here, much more than either of us ever thought I would. The only problem I have is that I'm too far from my family and (most of) my friends. If I could somehow wedge Vermont in between Ohio and Pennsylvania I would so I could justify staying here.
September is going to be a month of craziness--not only does school start again, but Matt's 30th birthday is rapidly approaching (9/14), my aunt is coming for a visit (I think, she hasn't confirmed yet) for a few days, my second 5k is on the 20th, we're going to see Margaret Cho in Burlington on 9/25, Denise's birthday and her wedding rehearsal are on 9/26, and she and Chris get married on 9/27. Whew! It will be awesome, though.
A quick plug: Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes are now available. Check out your local Hallmark Gold Crown store for free boxes, or email me your address and I will send you one if you're interested.

Last morning in the old place. :)
Last post from old place.
For the record, I kept saying I was going to get up at 5/5:30 and I was awake at 5, but I laid in bed until just a few minutes ago. I'm going to get dressed and make a run down to the new place soon, then go get us breakfast.
And I'm in LOVE with our new place. LOVE.

So we've accomplished quite a bit so far, including our first run to the new place with clothes to hang in the closets. We got our keys, handed over the deposit and planned where the larger pieces of furniture need to go (so the guys won't be juggling heavy stuff tomorrow). We've run into a few snafus with the truck people and current-for-not-much-longer landlord is being a pain (which by now we've come to expect) but over all it's going well. And I'm in absolute LOVE with the new place. LOVE. It feels like ours to me, much more than this place we're in now, and I just LOVE it. I can tell I'm going to be happy there. Us and the kitty(ies) we will eventually get. :)
Okay, time to finish my afternoon coffee and get back to work. :) More later.

I am so excited to move. I can't wait. Matt said he didn't realize just how excited I was until this week. I can not wait to leave this place. I'm so in love with the new one already (and Matt and I are looking into kittens--even though we said we weren't going to for at least another month). I will post pictures as soon as I'm done setting up (or at least mostly setting up) and can get to the internets (which we won't have at home until probably after we come back from vacation *sigh*).
All of that said, I'm sooo nervous because we have so much to get done before Sunday and the house is so chaotic that it's hard to see what needs to be done and where to start. It's making me crazy. So I'm going to list for a bit (which will also allow me to take progress breaks over the weekend to post). Sort it all out before I go berzerkers on this place tomorrow after work:

So...Matt's graduated, I've now seen "Iron Man" twice (*love*) and the new "Indiana Jones" once. We're leaving for vacation in 10 days and moving in 4 and a 1/2. Crunch time. There's a lot I want to write about, lots to catch everyone up on (rest assured that while I haven't been posting much myself, I have been reading all of yours on a regular basis). So much, I've made a list so I don't forget what I want to tell everyone about. Though honestly, with some time and distance, the list seems kind of silly. So we'll see what comes out later. But now, today, I have a metric shit ton to accomplish. The run down:

finish packing the deskclean out my car- clean out my purse
LAUNDRY (which I'm actually dreading because I'm going to spend all evening at the laundromat)packing up all the clothes that I will not need this weekorder new address labels- break rest of list down by day so shit gets done
go to post office, mail cards, pick up forwarding paperwork (went while they were closed for lunch. Guess I'll have to see if Matt can pick it up on Saturday)- work on change of address cards/list
