What?!

Jillian
So I go to download my weekly Jillian podcast and its not there. On her KFI page it says that she's taking a break from radio. WHAT?!

I hope she's doing this voluntarily. I worry that it might actually have to do with NBC and Loser as she often goes off about the ways she disagrees with the products the show promotes.

At any rate, Loser doesn't start again until mid-September so I've got a good two months without Jillian? What am I supposed to do now?

Okay, LJ Land, you don't have to be mad at me. I went to the gym and ran the errands I had to run tonight. I was a good girl. :) I also recreated my massive to-do list for the week.

Spent time typing up my massive to-do list for the week while I was at work (between customers) and left it there. Damnit.

Do me a favor, LJ land, be mad at me if I don't get my sorry ass out of the house and to the gym tonight. I need to go, and I even want to go--but the weather is lousy and it's dark and that makes it very easy to stay home and do a DVD. But I have a couple of errands that need to be done tonight and they require me to leave the house. If I make myself go to the gym, I'll get a lot more done.

So if I fail on my quest, be mad at me. I'll check in later.

Good day so far, productive.

I'm going to say again that I love my gym. Today there were more than 20 of us on cardio machines--and there were still some free. Now I just need to learn the weight equipment because it's different from the stuff at my old gym. *sigh*

And how about Dick Cheney shooting his hunting buddy. he he he. Even if the guy is his friend I'm not so sure it was an accident.

And I'm glad other people are with me on the Michelle Kwan thing. Seriously, wasn't sure what reaction that would get, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks she sucks right now.

I'm almost dressed, I just need to get moving. I have some places to check out, a couple look promising (though for a bit more than I was paying at the Y, but I guess I'm worth the extra cost).

However, it is snowing, adn that makes me not want to go anywhere. Snarg.

Guess I should just get it over with.

More later...to be continued...

Found another one...

Royal Sports & Fitness Center in Amherst. Only about 20 mins from home and 20 mins from Matt's. Prices look doable, and they'll let you pay monthly. Their class schedule looks a little light, but I could make the Cardio Boxing one (adn that's the one that appeals to me most). I think I shall check them out tomorrow...

gym closing update

Sorry if it seems I'm obsessing about this, but well, I kind of am. I don't want to break my streak by being out of commission for too long. I refuse to let this set me back. I think I've narrowed it down to two places in my area. I'm going to call and hopefully even visit them tomorrow. One is Bally's in Westlake, which is further than I want to drive, but if the rates are decent and I like the place it would be okay. And Riveredge, which is much closer and will probably win out because I'll bet they are cheaper and I am poor. But we'll see.

I'll let you know tomorrow.

More later. Hang tough, kids.

Irony...

...amusing thing about my gym closing? I had just been reading an article in Women's Health about the questions you should ask and things you should look for when choosing a gym. Told myself I'd file it away for the next time I went looking. Guess that time was to come sooner than I thought...

Garh! (and not in a good way)

It's very fitting that I got [info]bravesbelle's movie quiz today considering that I am having a case of the Mondays...

Found out (minutes before I was set to leave) that my gym is closed. I worked out at the YMCA and both the Elyria and Lorain branches are closing due to financial problems. My first reaction was to be upset for me because I'm working so damn hard and now I'm going to be set back until I find a new gym (which is on the agenda for my day off tomorrow). My second thought was that it was really shitty for them not to tell anyone--I was just there yesterday! And what about the people who use the child care services? How could they leave them high and dry.

Well I just read the newspaper article and they did notify and make arrangements for the people who use the child care service, which makes me feel a little better (though I'm still damn frustrated and wish that I could go spend 45 minutes on the elliptical to work it out, but c'est la vie).

And it all came after a shitty weekend at work. Just stuff happening all the time. I'm going in at 12 today to help out teh office manager, but I don't want to go in until 4 when Chris gets there so I can talk to him. Free therapy. Therapy that I'm actually getting paid for.

And at least Matt is back so I can see him tonight.

And one more good thing (I can't believe as a native Ohioan I'm going to say this though)...

THE STEELERS WON!!!

(not that I had any doubts)
